Title: The Courage to Invest in Ourselves: A Journey Towards Weight Regain Recovery

Introduction:

Let's face it, most of us who have struggled with weight problems are not experts in weight management or nutrition. We are regular people with various areas of knowledge and expertise. Just like how I am not an expert in money management, many of you may not be experts in navigating weight regain after bariatric surgery. And that's okay. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. But what happens when we find ourselves stuck in a cycle of weight regain, feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to turn? It's time to invest in ourselves and seek the guidance of experts who can help us navigate this challenging journey.

My Personal Financial Journey:

When I realized that my finances needed work, my initial instinct was to buy books and join Facebook groups on money management. While these resources inspired me, they also confirmed what I already knew deep down - I had no clue where to start, and the whole process seemed overwhelming. I was spinning my money wheels with no clear direction. I had to make a decision, and it became clear that I had three options:

1. Do nothing and leave things the way they were.

2. Dive deep into a sea of information, spending excessive time, energy, and money on various resources that left me confused and overwhelmed.

3. Find someone who could guide me, teach me, and hold me accountable to make the necessary changes.

Choosing the Best Solution:

Considering the pain of staying in my current financial state and realizing that becoming a money management expert on my own was unrealistic, I had to confront option number three - finding someone who aligned with my values and could provide me with the guidance I needed. It was challenging because it meant spending money and going further into debt, which seemed counterintuitive. Moreover, I was looking for excuses not to proceed, fearing the difficulty and sacrifices that lay ahead. However, I knew deep down that my future happiness depended on this decision and effort.

The Power of Investing in Ourselves:

After some hesitation, I took the leap and hired a personal financial coach. This experience reminded me the value of investing in myself, even when it feels scary and uncertain. It's natural to fear failure and resist asking for help, but when we have a problem that has persisted for a while, one that we are not experts in solving, investing in ourselves becomes crucial. We must find those who are experts and can guide us towards our goals.

Weight Regain: A Similar Journey:

Now, let's apply this same perspective to weight regain after bariatric surgery. I understand the feelings of fear, shame, and resistance that may hold you back from committing to the necessary actions to move forward. But I want to offer you a loving reflection of your ideal self and remind you that making a significant commitment and investment in yourself is not only acceptable but necessary. It's about lightening the burden you carry and reclaiming your life.

Embracing the Rewards:

Investing in ourselves can be scary, but the rewards are exponential. We are talking about the rest of our lives here, and we all deserve to live them to our fullest potential. We shouldn't carry the heavy burdens of weight regain and the emotional toll they take on us. Life is too short for that kind of pain.

Conclusion:

So, I want to ask you this: Is the fear of making a time, energy, or financial investment in yourself holding you back from reaching your goals and finding peace of mind? I encourage you to take that first step in releasing this emotional block by replying to me. Let's hold space for your fears and insecurities while also acknowledging that you are worth the commitment and investment needed to move forward!! YOU ARE WORTH IT, my friend!
